The Northeast Face is the most famous route after south face. There is a small shelter without any facilities and a Private Camp. In some section of this route (5300 to 5600 m) there is always snow and ice so it's better to have an Ice axe (with experience and knowledge of usage)

At some section of north face, it's needed to have ability of rock climbing and may be need to have some technical equipment such as Rope. Also, at end of this route (upper than 5300 m) maybe need to use Ice axe.

The other routes of Damavand Mountain don't have any Shelter or facilities and some of them are technical.
